Final Cut Pro 6 is a hugely capable piece of software “out of the box”. But there are some areas where plug-ins can either do the job better, or faster, or more easily, or all three!

For those situations, I’ve invested hundreds of pounds to make life better for me, and my edits better for my clients.  Below you’ll find a list of just some of my fully-legal, owned plug-ins for FCP6, available on both systems.

Twixtor 4.5 - simply the greatest slo-mo effects for FCP

Flip4Mac Studio Pro HD - instant and seamless translation to and from Windows Media files and many others, in SD and HD

Sorenson Squeeze 5 with On2 VP6 Pro - compression software which fills in the (admittedly few) gaps left by Compressor (e.g. compress to Flash etc)

Automatic Duck - translation between Avid and FCP sequences, in both directions

Magic Bullet Editors - film effect and grading software par excellence; adds texture and depth to uninspiring video footage

Magic Bullet Colorista - a bit superfluous now we have Color in FCS2, but I have it anyway!

Nattress Standards Conversion and Big Box of Tricks - superb software standards conversion kit, with extra whizzy bits and bobs, both technical and creative.
